Below are some of the things you and your family can do when visiting the South West this summer.
1. Gloucester Ski & Snowboard Centre – Gloucester, Gloucestershire
The indoor sports centre is one of the perfect spots to take your family to have fun and break some sweat. The centre features a 230m high slope and a small one for the newbies. For the youngsters that want to learn some freestyle manoeuvres, they can hit the Big Airbag and practice a few moves. The SnowFlex area is also another enjoyable past-time section for the kids.
2. Longleat Safari Park – Warminster, Wiltshire
At the Longleat Safari park in Warminster, you will find the Penguin Bay, Jungle Kingdom, Adventure Park Longleat House, Safari Drive Adventure and other attractions. The family will have fun interacting with mischievous monkeys and be amazed by chasing cheetahs and majestic lions as well as roaming rhinos. A drive through safari where the kids can feed deer.
The park is a unique attraction that seats on 19 acres of land. It has climb-on sculptures, state of the art exhibitions and mesmerising gardens. If you have kids that enjoy arts and crafts, then this is the right place for them. If they love performances, then the Totem Circle will not lack something entertaining for them. The little ones will relish the thrills of being at Adventure Wonderland. It is the perfect place to take your kids if they are aged between 3 and 10 years. 4. Eden Project – Par, Cornwall
When visiting the Eden Project, you will be entering a world of geodesic conservatories that are home to Warm Temperate and Humid Tropics Biome. If you love nature, then you will relish visiting one of the largest rainforests in captivity where there are beautiful plants. The children will have a memorable time finding the different dinosaurs lurking within the conservatory and win a stamp for each one. They will also learn more about dinosaurs from the dino experts.
5. Winchester Science Centre – Winchester, Hampshire
The for little ones that are into science and discovery, they will be fascinated by what they find at the Winchester Science Museum. The centre has more a hundred hands-on science exhibit. It also has a planetarium where hosts daily shows touching on different things such as Space, the Solar System, planet earth, and human anatomy. The Museum will be hosting a few exciting events this summer that are no worthy missing; they include the Dinosaurs at Dusk, The Summer of Sound, among others.
6. Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park – Poole, Dorset
Take the young ones that love gardening to Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park in Poole. The kids will have lots to do in the outdoor and indoor play areas. They also get to be around cute animals and learn how to feed them. Tractor trailer rides will also be a fun activity for the small ones. The Maize Maze that opens up from July to October will be a place for them to stroll in and get lost. Farm Park also has a beautiful woodland where the children can go for a walk and enjoy the lovely scenery.
7. Museum of Witchcraft – Boscastle, Cornwall
It is a fascinating museum that is home to one of the largest collections of witchcraft artefacts and gives insights on the history of magic and sorcery practices. And when hunger pangs come knocking, then you can head to the on-site café for some delicious dishes and drinks.
8. Clip ‘n’ Climb – Exeter, Devon
If your rascals are hungry for adventure, then take them to the Jungle Gym at Clip ‘n’ Climb Park. The entire family can participate in the Speed Climbing challenge or have a fun time at the Checkerplate. It is one of the best places for team building as well as helps instill confidence.
